P3 – Writing a Letter

This week we are going to be writing a thank you letter to a keyworker / group of keyworkers for all of their hard work and help. You may choose to write your thank you letter to:

  • The workers at your local supermarket
  • The doctors/nurses at Western General
  • Bus drivers
  • Delivery drivers
  • Workers in a care home.
  • Or any other individual / group of keyworkers you can think of.

For privacy reasons, please use the given school address as your sender’s address as an option for the recipient to write back to.

You could then deliver the letter by post or hand it to the keyworker(s) next time you are there. For example, if someone at home is going shopping they could hand in your letter then. If you cannot deliver the letter yourself, please send it to your class teacher (either typed out, or as a photo of a hand-written letter) by email and we will try our best to print it and deliver it when next possible. If you are sending your teacher a hand-written version to print, we would recommend using a free scanning app for your phone, so you can send this as a pdf. If you are wishing to type, there is a word version of the template that you can use for extra support.

As always, if there are any questions please ask! We’re sure your positive and appreciative letters will put a big smile on our keyworkers’ faces!!
