Breathe in and out gently
Simply notice the air passing in and out through your nostrils
Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati said that “If you quiet the mind, the soul will speak.” Sometimes our minds can be so busy talking us through our day that our ‘real’, deep self doesn’t get a chance to speak. But this part of us has really important stuff to tell us. Tune out the distractions if you can – even just for a minute and see if there is another part of you quietly hanging out in the background. The part of you that feels and senses rather than thinks. Listen to what it tells you.
Remember, the more you practise this, the easier it gets.
