Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that you are all well. This weather is definitely not in our back to school plan. Looking out of my office it is like a very bleak Winter’s day.
Please find attached a letter from NHS Lothian regarding good practice in the current situation. I hope that everyone understands that we have to be extremely cautious at the moment and ask for your support with this. Please do not send your child to school if they are displaying any possible COVID – 19 symptoms or if they are unwell in other ways. Having been away from school for several months, the resilience of the children against common colds and other bugs is low and we are finding that ‘normal’ illness is spreading. Many thanks to the P1 and P2 parents and carers who are now wearing masks in the playground when picking up their child at the end of the day. We are aware that some adults are unable to wear a mask and are supportive of this.
Our first Parent Council meeting of the school year will take place this evening and I look forward to ‘seeing’ some of you then.
Thank you for your continued support
Jacqueline Scott
