Dear Parents and Carers
It is the last day of term one and watching all our Trinity Learners arriving at school this morning looking relaxed, full of smiles and chatting to their friends is testament to all the effort put in by all our school community over the past weeks. I cannot thank you enough.
Please see below for a few bits of information :
+ve case over the holidays
I so hope that none of our children test positive for Coronavirus over the holiday period. If they do, please contact City of Edinburgh council on 0131 200 2000. School will be informed and any close contacts identified as required.
Halloween
Children are very welcome to dress up for Halloween on Friday October 30th. We will have some adapted Halloween activities for the children to enjoy.
Hot Lunches
A hot lunch option is now available on Parentpay. As we are unable to use our dining hall due to COVID – 19 restrictions lunches will continue to be delivered to classrooms and children will continue to eat in the classroom. We are ever hopeful there will be no escaping veggie balls or cheesy pasta squahed into classroom carpets!
Front gate : P2
From Tues Oct 27th we are aiming to introduce an in and out gate system for the P2 pick up time. It is hoped that this will help with distancing. Please remember if collecting your P1 or P2 child we ask that only one adult enters the playground, wears a face covering if able to do so, adheres to a 2m distance from other adults and leaves the playground immediately they have collected their child. These measure are for the safety of everyone – thank you.
Goodbye and Good Luck
We have a few families and Felicity Martin leaving Trinity at this time and we wish them all the very best in the future. New Zealand, India, Spain, Dunfermline and Ferryhill Primary are all very lucky to get such fabulous people joining their communities. They will all be a great miss.
INSET day : Monday Oct 26th
School is closed to pupils on Monday 26th Oct. Children return for term two on Tuesday October 27th.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on the 27th for term two and all the fun it will bring. Christmas@Trinity is not being thwarted by a virus!
I hope everyone has an enjoyable October break.

Please see below for a message from the house captains (shared at assembly this morning)
Dear Trinity Learners, Parents and Carers
We are the House Captains. We want to tell you about the guide dogs we are hoping to sponsor. Each house will get one guide dog. It costs about £4 per month to sponsor each dog so if you can, please bring in any loose change on a Friday. There will be dog money banks that you can ‘feed’ with your coins. If you can do this we would be very grateful. Any amount helps.
Thank you from the House Captains
