Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that week four of learning from home has gone well and that everyone’s mood is not matching the weather! We really could do with some sunshine! The news on Tuesday that, hopefully, P1 – P3 will return to school from Mon 22nd Feb has certainly brightened up things for many of us. Here’s hoping that P4 – P7 will also be returning in the not too distant future and we can have Trinity back Together!
In the meantime please see below for a few bits of information :
- School ‘closes’ today and reopens for learning on Tues Feb 16th.
- Wed Feb 17th and Thurs Feb 18th will see us attempting to hold our first (and I hope only) House Coffee Mornings on TEAMS.
For those new to Trinity our house coffee mornings take place once a year and provide an opportunity for children and their parents and carers to talk about what and how children have been learning. Normally these coffee mornings take place in school.
Our hope, this year, is that families will join a TEAMS mtg at the time set aside for each house. There will be a welcome from myself and our house captains along with a simple task to do. Please look out for the invite through TEAMS. Remember to check what house your child is in so that you join the correct meeting (although each meeting will be the same!)
Please do not worry if you are unable to join this – we really do appreciate that juggling work and school is challenging.
There will be no book and a biscuit on the 17th and 18th to allow the coffee mornings to take place.
Children learning in school will join in with their teacher.
- The week of Feb 15th will also see us starting our family learning activities. Each week we will share a song title with related learning experiences. Feedback from some parents and carers, following our survey, was for more creative learning and less screen based activities. Hopefully these will help towards this. Our first song title is ‘You’ve got a friend in me’. Our learners are encouraged to work together with family, or virtually with friends, to complete the activities. As always – please do what you can.

From Mon Feb 22nd school times and entrance gates, for all pupils in P1 – P3, will revert to those in place before the Christmas break.
P1 (back gate) and P2 (front gate)
Mon – Thurs : 9.00am – 3.00pm
Fri : 9.00am – 12noon
P3 (back gate)
Mon – Thurs : 8.45am – 3.10pm
Fri : 8.45am – 12.20pm
Lunches must be ordered through ParentPay.
For those P4 – P7 children learning in school the school day and gate will remain as :
Back gate for all
Mon – Thurs : 8.30am – 3.00pm
Fri : 8.30am – 12noon
(from Feb 22nd lunch must be ordered through ParentPay and paid for)
Breakfast club will recommence from Mon Feb 22nd. Please look out for a form from the school office if you wish to book a place.
