Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that you are all keeping well and that the snowy February week gave lots of opportunity for our learners to be outside! Watch out for the slide show put together by Mrs Martin showing some of the staff attempts at snowman (or woman) building.
This week, hopefully, sees our final week of learning from home for pupils in P1 to P3. This is to be confirmed on Tues 16th Feb.
This week also sees the launch of our family learning experiences. These will be shared through SWAY with the link on your child’s TEAMS account. Our theme for week one is friendship with the song ‘You’ve got a friend in me’ leading the way. Our hope is that many of the activities can be done away from screens and involve all the family. As always please simply do what you can.
House Coffee Mornings – Invites have been sent as follows :
Wed 17th Feb at 9.30am – Royston
Wed 17th Feb at 1.00pm – Craighall
Thurs Feb 18th at 9.30am – Melville
Thurs Feb 18th at 1.00pm – Argyll
Please ‘bring along’ your child’s learning from home jotter, make yourself a coffee or juice and enjoy a biscuit (unfortunately we’re unable to provide on this occasion!) whilst you chat with your child about what they have been learning. The coffee mornings will also be a chance to hear from our house captains.
This will be our first time holding a virtual coffee morning so fingers crossed technology will be kind to us. The powerpoint will be shared on the day but in case it doesn’t work it will also be available on the school website. Please see the links below for two clips from youtube that we hope to include. It might be helpful to have these downloaded in advance.
I look forward to ‘seeing’ you on Wednesday or Thursday.
Best wishes
