Dear P1 – P4 Parents and Carers
The end of term is with us! I do hope that everyone has enjoyed the final week of school. I have had a lovely time eating chips with P7 at Wardie Bay, watching P1 – P6 enjoying an ice cream in the sunshine, presenting yearbooks to P7 (very ably helped by P1), eating pizza with P7 at their pizza party (food again!), supporting our house captains presenting Trinity’s Got Talent and listening to a very emotional and spontaneous rendition of Wild Mountain Thyme from P7. Certainly a week to remember.
I am aware that the rearranging of classes, particularly given the year we have all experienced as a result of COVID, can cause some uncertainty and possible concern. Children were asked to identify friendships and staff took a considerable amount of time to use that information along with their knowledge of pupil learning styles, relationships and current learning levels. All children are in a class with friends they identified and, I hope, the year ahead will provide all of them with the opportunity to widen friendships further, whilst making progress in their learning. Our aim is to get it right for every child and I hope that you trust us to put the interests and needs of all of our children at the heart of what we do.
There is no doubt that this has been quite a year but we remain committed to ensuring that our children feel nurtured, supported and have a sense of belonging. I sincerely hope that as we start the summer holidays your children are looking forward to the weeks ahead but that they are also looking forward to returning in August ready to learn and to enjoy their next school year and all that it brings. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns.
Thank you for all your support and I wish you a very happy summer.
We look forward to seeing everyone back in Trinity on Wed Aug 18th.
With very best wishes
