P7 Benmore Info

Dear P7 Parents, Carers and Learners

The Benmore Experience is nearly here!   Please take time to read through and action the following.

COVID update :

The guidance currently in place will remain in place until the end of April.  To this end Benmore have asked that LFDs are undertaken on Thurs 21st, Sun 24th and before leaving home on Mon 25th April.   Please report the Sunday and Monday results (both negative and positive) direct to myself using the following email

This information will be shared with Benmore to provide them with an overview of the situation.

Unfortunately any child testing positive will be unable to attend.   I know that this is not what any of us want and can only hope that everyone is negative.  Please do take particular care in the few days leading up to the 25th.

High risk contacts will be considered on a case by case basis.

Mon 25th April

Arrive at school for 8.50am and report direct to main hall.

Ensure a packed lunch is packed in a separate bag

Hand any medication, clearly named and in original packaging,  to Mr McKay

Remember – leave phones and other mobile devices at home

The coaches aim to leave about 9.20am

Fri 29th April

Arrival time at school will be about 1.00pm (traffic dependant)

A text will be sent to parents and carers when the coaches are on the outskirts of Edinburgh

Souvenirs will be available to purchase at Benmore eg mugs and water bottles (£3), wristbands (£1.50), postcards (30p), bendy frogs (£2).   Any money must be placed in a named purse and handed in to the class teacher.

Code of Conduct

All pupils, parents and carers have been asked to sign the code of conduct.   Please complete and return it to school by Friday April 8th.

The following staff will be accompanying P7 for all or part of the week : Gill Chalmers, Hannah Watt, Connor McKay, Kelly Tawake, Seoras Lewis, Michael Taylor, Aimi Armstrong and Jacqueline Scott

I am sure that everyone will have a great week making memories, trying new experiences, spending time with friends and making the most of every moment.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have anything you wish to ask.

Best wishes

Jacqueline Scott
