Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome back to our final term of the school year.  It was so lovely to see our playground full this morning with parents, carers and children – hopefully the days of lining up on the pavement are gone.   Our P7s headed to Benmore Outdoor Centre, waved off enthusiastically by their P2 buddies,  and our P6s headed to Midlothian ski centre for skiing and outdoor learning.  Their excitement was infectious.   It really does feel like we are finally at the ‘end of the tunnel’ and we can really see our school community fully back and together.  We are looking forward to welcoming you to our Open Morning on Fri May 6^th and to our playground tidy on Sun May 8^th.

The term ahead promises to be a busy one.   Our whole school focus will centre around the theme of Coast to Coast so please do ask your children what they are learning.

Tues May 3^rd : INSET day – school closed for pupils

Fri May 6^th : School Open Morning – please come along between 9.00am and 10.00am or between 11.00am and 12.00noon to see your child’s classroom, some learning in action, chat with your child, stay and play,  meet other parents and carers.  Teas and coffees will be available in the main hall.               

Sun May 8^th : 9.30am – 12.30pm Community Playground and Secret Garden tidy : the more hands the better!

                     11.45am : Clapping out of P7

                     12.00 : P1 – P6 dismissed

Please do remember that, for this term, our school kitchen will be being refurbished and school lunches will be a packed lunch.  Today went very smoothly and there was very limited food waste which was very encouraging.

I hope the term proves to be a very successful and happy one for us all.
