Trinity News: 18th May

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope that you are all well and that your children are enjoying the summer term in school.  Things are certainly  busy at Trinity.  Over the next few days we have Sports Day, the May Fair, our P7 show (supported by P6), nursery visits and parents / carers evening and afternoon for P1 – P3.   It is certainly feeling like business as usual once again.

Please see below for reminders about Sports Day and the Fair plus news about Trinity’s Got Talent!

Sports Day : Fri May 20th – start time approx. 9.20am in Victoria Park.   ALL very welcome

The children will take part in six events in house teams.  Siblings will be in the same team so if you are able to come along you only need to follow one team around the course

Our theme is Coast to Coast with each event representing part of a journey to travel from the UK coast, around the world and back.

Children should come to school dressed for sports day.  Please note that rain will not put us off so dress for the weather!

Fruit will be provided for snack time but children must bring their own named water bottle

At the end of the six events children will gather in their own classes to watch the P7 house relays

It is likely that sports day will finish about 11.15am / 11.30am.  At that time they may be dismissed providing they are with an adult – please make sure your child’s class teacher knows they are with you – or they will return to school until the normal finishing time on Friday.

Pupils from P5 – P7 must have returned a signed paper slip indicating they have permission to leave early  –  this was sent home last week.

May Fair : Saturday May 21st from 11.00am – 1.00pm

We have a fabulous assortment of filled jars ready for the fair.  Further jars are welcome right up to the day.

Please do come along and support our school on Saturday morning.   Donations of baking, toys, books, DVDs etc can be handed in to school this week.

Trinity’s Got Talent

Watching our P7s rehearse for their show confirms that Trinity certainly does have Talent.   The House Captains will be in touch soon with further information and application forms but in the meantime acts can start to practice. Auditions will take place during June with the final happening on Thursday June 30th.

Thank you for all your support and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Sports Day on Friday and the Fair on Saturday.

Best wishes

Jacqueline Scott
