Trinity News : Monday 5th December 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend.

As I’m sure you are aware the festive season is well underway at Trinity following a great start last week.  Our Christmas Art Day saw everyone working together in houses to make banners based on Christmas picture books and corridor boards are now displaying Happy New Year in 22 different languages.    The Christmas Light Switch On was a great success with the playground absolutely packed.  It was so good to see so many of you there.  A huge thanks to the TPSA for all their work in making this such a lovely evening.  As you know all the money raised at these events goes to school and is used to benefit everyone.

Thank you too for the donations of preloved Christmas clothing and for gifts for our reverse advent calendar.   We have already received over 40 items.  Donations for both are still very welcome.

This week P2 will be performing their ‘To Infinity and Beyond’ show, P7 are heading into town to enjoy Santa Land, Christmas lunch will be served on Thursday (please remember if you haven’t ordered for your child then they must bring a packed lunch) and Friday sees us in Victoria Park for the Santa Fun Run at 9.15am and then in school for Christmas Star Time at 11.00am.  Parents and carers are very welcome.  Friday will also see our final class receiving their flu vaccination.

Christmas Star Time :

One of the activities proving very popular is Sock Snowmen.  Any donations of scraps of material,  coloured socks, buttons would be much appreciated.  Please hand into the school office.

Children and staff absence

There are certainly many different types of bugs doing the rounds at the moment from chicken pox to sore throats to sickness and colds.  If your child is unwell please do not send them into school until they are better.   As we manage staff absence thank you for your understanding if your child’s class is taught either by a supply teacher or a different member of Trinity staff.  We really do try to avoid too many changes if at all possible.

I hope the week ahead proves to be a good one for us all.

Best wishes

Jacqueline Scott
