Dear Parents and Carers

It has been so encouraging to see the sun shining over the past few days.   After the torrential rain of last week where we had water running down a corridor, very large puddles and very wet learners and staff we are ever hopeful the sun is here to stay.

May Fair

What a glorious day in so many ways – the entertainment, the stalls, the weather, the burgers, the crowds!   Thank you so much to those of you who helped on the day, including the large number of staff, and to those of you who came along and joined in the fun.   We are looking forward to the TPSA sharing with us the total raised. 

Building update

I completely understand the frustration surrounding the current closure of the kitchen and other areas of our school.    As previously intimated these spaces are under investigation as part of an ongoing process of assessment across the City of Edinburgh Council’s property estate.  An update on progress including more detail on the reason for the inspections will be provided by the project team before the end of the week and I will forward it on as soon as its available.

In the meantime I do apologise for any lack of communication and can only ask, yet again, for your understanding and support.   

Sports day : Friday May 19th

We are looking forward to our Amazing Asia themed Sports Day on Friday in Victoria Park.  This year will see the following events – Build a Panda, Race across Asia, Chopsticks Challenge, Build the Burj, Find the Flag and Give the lion a drink – as well as entertainment from P7 and their P2 buddies and the ‘traditional’ P7 house relay!   The wearing of house colours is encouraged.
