Severe Weather Closures Continue to Friday

As schools are to remain closed tomorrow (Fri 2nd March) please note the following info :

Thurs March 8th : Parents’ evening

Fri March 9th : Parents’ afternoon

Please book an appointment if you haven’t already done so.

Trinity Book Day – Friday 9th March

This year we will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday March 9th.  Pupils are already listening to, and voting for, their favourite picture book from a choice of 6 from the last 50 years.  They will each design a badge to represent their choice and on the 9th we will construct a human bar graph in the playground to show the results.

On that day we will also be working together in our Trinity Together groups to make an Origami book worm.  If you are able to help from 9.00am – 10.0am please come along.

To encourage everyone to read, children are asked to bring in a book for our giant book swap.   The idea is that all the children will take home a ‘new’ book.  Please do explain to your child that the idea is to swap their book permanently!

We are not asking children to dress up this year.

Schools are expected to be open as usual from Mon 5th March.  Please do bear with us as we manage any difficulties re school lunch orders, refunds etc.

Thank you

Heating in School

Image result for clipart broken heating pipe

Dear Parents and Carers

Unfortunately there continues to be an issue with the heating in school.  This is due to a cracked pipe.  Whilst it is not an ideal situation the following is in place :

  • The school is using temporary, portable heaters because there is no central heating
  • An immersion heater is being used to supply hot water
  • The  school are able to order further heaters if the weather gets colder – these will be managed by the school.
  • The central heating cannot be restored until the pipe is repaired.
  • Facilities Management will keep the school updated on what is happening and when the repair is being done.
  • The temporary heaters will remain on site until no longer required.

Please contact the school if you wish to discuss this further.

Give the weeds some welly at our Secret Garden maintenance day – Sunday 8th October

Garden-clip-art-border-free-clipart-images-7We would be delighted if you could join us on our SECRET GARDEN MAINTENANCE DAY on SUNDAY 8th OCTOBER 2017  to help us give the weeds some welly!
A wet summer has produced a lot of growth, there is bindweed to battle, bramble and willow to tame, raised beds to weed and repair and redundant materials to clear in a prime area that lends itself to a sheltered learning space.
Please put this date in your diary and bring along a few hand tools if you can. If you can’t manage the whole day then come along for a while, even for a couple of hours as definitely a case of the more the merrier – experienced or not!
Children are welcome to come along and help too, there will be some fun activities to keep them occupied!

We’ll put on refreshments and snacks to keep everyone going so come along and help to give this lovely space a big push in the right direction. Get in touch (see contacts below) so we know how many biscuits to bake……….

Please let us know whether you are able to come along by contacting us at; admin@trinity-pri.edin.sch.uk
