Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that you are all well and have managed to find sometime over the summer to relax and reconnect with family and friends. Whilst I know we are still very much on a journey towards returning to normal it has been so heartening to see children playing in the park, to be able to meet with others and to possibly enjoy some food or drink in a place other than your own home! Here’s hoping that by working together and following the guidance, we continue on this positive route.
As you will be aware the Scottish Government announced at the end of last week that the plan continues to be for schools to return 100% in August. Councils are now looking at the practical implications of this and it is hoped that Edinburgh council wide guidance will be issued to parents and carers on Wed of this week. On Thursday I will share the information specific to Trinity. I am aware that there are several questions being asked by parents and carers and simply ask for your patience in getting answers. Please do be assured that the health, wellbeing and safety of all our school community continues to be our main priority. More than ever we need to hold onto our Trinity values!
Everyone on the Trinity team is so looking forward to having our school full of our learners again. We cannot wait to have them back and to welcome all of our new P1s. It is an exciting time.
As always, thank you for your support and for your perseverance, respect, creativity and kindness – let’s not forget our children model how we are.
See you soon
PS Please can you share the following with your children?
Dear Trinity Learners
I am so hoping that you are feeling the same way as me and are getting really excited that we will be back in school really soon. I cannot wait to see you all. If you are feeling a little bit anxious or worried that is perfectly natural. (To be honest I think some of the staff might be feeling a wee bit that way too). However I am sure that the minute we’re all in school any worries will completely disappear. If not then all we need to do is to be kind, to help each other and work together to make sure that everyone feels safe and happy.
At the end of this week I will be sending out lots of information to you and your parents and carers about classes, classrooms, what door to come in etc etc. Please take time to have a wee look at this as it will help you on the first day. The most important thing is not to worry and remember that we learn from our mistakes so if you go to the wrong room or forget which door to use it won’t be a problem.
See you soon everyone – not many sleeps to go!
The Final Day!
We will see you all very soon.
Our Final Week of Trinity 2019-20…
Monday, 22nd – Friday, 26th June
Here we are in the last week of term, the last week of the school year and the last week of full-time School at Home! Everyone needs to reach an arm up in the air, bend it over your shoulder and pat yourselves on the back! What a Trinity effort! What a Trinity journey! What a TRINITY TEAM! It is so exciting going in to the summer break, knowing that we are going to see you back in school – in whatever form – in August.
Thanks to all of you who sent pictures of your learning over these last 3 months (!) to teachers, friends and to me. It has kept us all going, knowing that we are in it together. We are such an amazing school!
Have a lovely summer, Trinity!

Star Time 19th June 2020
Good morning Trinity learners! We hope this fun Start Time gets your creativity flowing!
IMPORTANT – House Captain Voting open now!
The house captain manifestos are now displayed on the front gates of the school. Come and take a look at all of our fantastic nominees!
Please choose the relevant form for your house to cast your vote. You can only vote once and for your own house. House Captain nominees may vote for themselves. Voting closes at 5.00pm on Thursday 18th June. Any votes that were cast on Friday have been saved and counted so you don’t need to vote again.
Keep Going, Everyone!
Monday, 15th June – Friday, 19th June
What fantastic work you have been sharing with me this week! Your energy and enthusiasm keep us all going. Well done to all of you and your building, baking, drawing and making! Amazing Trinity Learners!
Next week is our last week ‘together’ and there are loads of great things to keep us excited. Trinity’s Got Talent entries have to be judged and winners chosen. House Captain voting will start and our new Captains selected for next year. Good luck to all candidates!
This week, you get to meet your new teaching team for next year. We know school will still look a bit different for a while but at least we will get to see each other properly and that will be something to be treasured!
Have a great week, everyone! Keep sending me your photos – it is always the highlight of any day when I get to see your faces and your learning. Thank you!
