Dear Parents and Carers
The final school week of the year has begun and there is a definite feeling of excitement in the air along with, unfortunately, a lot of coughs and colds. We are hoping that the children and staff all manage to be in school until Friday!
Please look out for a separate email regarding medication in school. You can also read it on our website here.
Church Service – Wed Dec 19th at 9.30am in North Leith Parish Church.
It is hoped that everyone will be able to come along to the church on Wednesday. If you do not wish your child to attend please contact school either by phone on 0131 554 2062 or via email on email@example.com. Thank you
Refreshments will be available after the service in the church hall. Many thanks to Alex and his congregation for providing these.
It is great that so many of our children choose to cycle or come by scooter to school. Recently we have had a few issues with bikes etc being damaged whilst in the playground. Please remind your child not to the touch bikes or scooters.
We have been bowled over by the response to our reverse advent calendar. To date we have collected nearly 300 pairs of socks. Our final collection day will be Thurs Dec 18th.

Dear Parents and Carers
As many of you will be aware we have been expecting considerable building works to upgrade the electrics, toilets, flooring, roof etc in our school. We had hoped the works would commence during the summer holidays but the start date was postponed. Following a meeting last week preparation for the works will now commence this week with the installation of work cabins in the car park and the preparation of a detailed scheduled programme of works.
Please be assured that, together with the contractors, we will ensure limited disruption to learning and teaching. Further details will follow once the programme has been confirmed.
I am sure that the improvements to our building (whilst possibly not immediately obvious) will have a positive impact for everyone.
Thank you for your support
