Trinity News: 24th April

Dear Parents and Carers

The final term of the school year is upon us (yet again).  How time seems to fly!  We are already in the process of organising staffing and classes for August.   As previously stated all classes will be rearranged, using a range of criteria,  with learners meeting their new teacher and class on Tues 17th June.

The term ahead is busy so please do take a minute to check diary dates below.

P7 (supported by P6) present ‘SHOUT!’

This year our P7 show will take place at The Pitt on West Shore Road, along from Granton Square, at 7.00pm on Thurs 8th May.   The show is always a highlight of the school year and a great opportunity for all our P7s to take to the stage.   P6 are also involved as they provide the front of house support and choir on the evening.  They are very much needed and we hope that all P6s will come along.    With a larger venue than usual (we usually use Trinity Academy’s main hall) we are able to open up ticket sales to the whole school.   If you would like to buy tickets and enjoy what promises to be a great evening of song and dance please do so on parentpay. The cost of the ticket (£7) goes towards the hire of the venue, lighting, sound, refreshments etc.  Unfortunately, this year, we won’t be able to show the rest of the school the dress rehearsal.

How are we doing?

Apologies for the error with the form sent out at the end of last term.  Please do try again.

The role of schools has evolved over the years.  Whilst the importance of literacy and numeracy cannot ever be underestimated we also strive to, amongst other things,  develop confidence, emotional wellbeing, respect, healthy lifestyles whilst providing a range of learning opportunities suited to a wide range of differing learner needs.  It’s a busy job and getting it right for everyone can come with its challenges.

I do appreciate that many of us can feel a bit ‘surveyed out’ nowadays but feedback from our school community helps us to shape what we do so please take a few minutes to complete the survey below.

Preloved School Uniform

Preloved school uniform items will be available tomorrow (Friday 25th) from 11.45am in the front  playground.  Please do take what you can use – cash donations, if possible, towards school funds are appreciated.

TPSA May Fair – Sat May 10th 11.00am – 1.00pm

The TPSA school fair takes place on Sat 10th May.   This fair is organised and run by a small group of parent and carer helpers who do an amazing job raising funds for our school.   Please do offer to help if you can, even for a short period of time, and do please come along on the day.

Fri 2nd May : Dress Down and Bring a Filled Jar.

Now a very established tradition at Trinity.  Fill a jar with items like small toys, hair clips, sweets etc and ‘earn’ the right to dress down on Fri 2nd.  The jars are always really popular and will be sold at the fair.  We never have enough!

Thank you for your support and I look forward to a successful term ahead.

Best wishes

Jacqueline Scott
