Dear Parents and Carers
What a change to the weather after such a mild spell. As Winter now seems to be upon us please do make sure your child has a jacket in school. They will be encouraged and reminded to wear it although for some definitely a case of ‘you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink’. Having been outside at break today there were quite a few who, on being asked, ‘Where is your jacket?’ replied ‘In my bag!’
Research shows that there are great benefits to being outside and getting fresh air so it is very unusual for our learners to be kept indoors at break and lunchtimes. We go with the quote from 1973 of ‘no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes!’
Remembrance
Thank you to our P5 learners who organised the selling of poppies for Remembrance. A small group of P5s also showed respect by representing our school at a short service at Heart of Newhaven.
Festive Season
As we head into the festive season please see below for what is happening at Trinity. Parents and carers are very welcome to come along to some events but please do not feel under any pressure. We fully understand that work and other commitments often make it impossible to attend but equally we like to offer opportunities to join in. It can be challenging to get the right balance.
From Thurs Nov 27th learners are welcome to wear Christmas jumpers etc if they wish. Given many parents and carers have bought such items for their child it is a good chance to ‘get your money’s worth’. We operate a Christmas clothing donations table so please do send in any Christmas items that your child no longer wears to allow them to be recycled.
