We have had a few queries regarding the HWB census that all schools have been asked to carry out. Please see the link below for further information. We have also added a tab onto our school website where you can see FAQs etc. It is hoped that completing the survey will not cause any undue anxiety. It has been designed for primary pupils and is being used across the country.
It is now only a matter of weeks before we head to Benmore – so exciting!
At the moment there is no reason to suggest that our visit will not be taking place. There is however particular information relating to COVID guidance that needs to be shared with families along with general information about Benmore. A meeting has been arranged for Tues 22nd February at 6.30pm. This meeting will take place on TEAMS so please look out for, and accept, the invite.
Mrs Boath will be in touch over the next few days to provide details about the balance, if any, that is now due. It is essential that all payments are made by March 4th 2022.
The experience of going to Benmore is possibly the most memorable moment of P7 so I am absolutely delighted that our P7s will have the opportunity this year. Let’s keep everything crossed that it goes ahead as planned.
Next term, P5-7 pupils will be taking part in the Scottish Government’s Health and Wellbeing Census. This will take place every 4 years and aims to help improve the services your child(ren) receive.
You will receive further information about the census in the new term and will be informed before the census is administered.
Here are some of the Frequently Asked Questions regarding this census.
It is quite unbelievable to think that we are now heading to our second Christmas where we are unable to come together in North Leith Parish Church for our Christmas service. This year we are however able to hold events outside, so long as we follow clear guidance.
We would be delighted if P7 parents and carers were able to come along at 9.15am on Fri Dec 10th to join us in the front playground for our outdoor service. Anyone attending will have to wear a face covering and households must stand 2m apart from other households. The event will be standing only and could be cold so please do dress up warmly.
After the service there will be the opportunity to enjoy a hot drink and a mince pie.
To allow us to plan for numbers attending please complete the form by clicking on the link below.
Whilst we are ever hopeful that this will be able to go ahead I am sure you will understand that if guidance changes the service may have to be cancelled.
Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing as many of you as can manage on Fri 10th Dec (warmly dressed!)
I have been made aware of some discontent amongst some of our learners and their families regarding the Christmas Card design. I have to take full responsibility for this as I asked staff to plan the content in the hope of ensuring a high quality end product from everyone. Possibly a bit too controlling and not in line with our value of creativity! The past has seen designs falling outwith the border, incorrect spelling, some of our learners unable to think what to draw and the card being unfinished etc. With this being one of our main fundraising opportunities quality control was a top priority. As I am sure you will appreciate for some learners a very clear structure allows them success whereas others welcome the chance to show their own artistic ability. To this end all of our P7s and P6s are very welcome to take home a design template to complete over the weekend. All that is asked is that it is returned to school by Tues Oct 12th.
Having seen some of the finished designs I think they look fabulous. Hopefully, whatever design your child chooses to submit will make them and you feel proud!
Please see information below regarding pupils collecting lateral flow tests prior to starting at Trinity Academy.
We have decided that In terms of admin re administration of LFD kits, it would work best if pupils were to collect Lateral flow test kits from Trinity Academy during the summer holidays, should they wish to participate in LFD testing prior to their return in August. P7 pupils did receive a parental consent form within their welcome packs, this would need to be presented upon collection. Collection will be made available outdoors at the main entrance of Trinity Academy on the following days from the hours of 9am to 3pm:
6/7/21
13/7/21
10/8/21
12/8/21
Infection control measures will be followed, masks should be worn at all times. Can you please communicate this with all your P7 pupils? Testing should be conducted on Monday 16th August or Tuesday 17th August prior to their return on Wednesday 18th August should they wish to take part
