At Trinity Primary School we aim to make sure that transitions from one school year to the next are supported and successful. Clear transition procedures are in place and staff meet to discuss learner needs, attainment data and other relevant information.
It is the norm for classes to be rearranged at the end of each school year to form new classes. Experience shows us that providing opportunities for our learners to extend friendships and to learn with and from different groups is beneficial as they move through primary school. Please be assured that staff take considerable time to get this right for all our learners taking into consideration a range of criteria – established positive friendships, learning styles, additional support needs, gender balance etc. It’s no easy task but one that is worth spending time on.
