Dear Parents and Carers
I hope you are all well. With just over two weeks to go before the end of term things are particularly busy in school. It feels a wee bit more like a case of winding up rather than, in any way, winding down!
Class organisation ; Aug 2026
All of our classes have now been reorganised for next session. Staff have taken considerable time to get this right for everyone taking into consideration friendships, learning, dynamics, parent / carer comments etc. As I am sure you will appreciate it is not an easy task but we are confident that the new classes will work well and allow friendships to broaden. Staff will share who teachers will be on Friday and on Tuesday June 16th everyone will have the opportunity to meet their new class and teacher and spend some time together.
Aberdour : Wed June 17th 2026
Many thanks for all the offers of help. We have over 100 parents and carers joining us. If you have volunteered you should have received a paper letter detailing transport and information. Please check school bags.
REMINDER : without payment learners are unable to attend as payment also acts as permission. Please check that you have paid.
Cycling in the area
It has been brought to my attention that the area around the building works on Craighall Road can be very busy and a request has been made that all cyclists dismount and push bikes whilst walking past Trinity Academy and down the lane.
Clothing and jewellery
Over the past few weeks we’ve seen an increase in the number of Trinity learners wearing cropped tops, hoop ear rings, make up etc to school. Such items are not suitable for a primary school and we ask for parent / carer support with this. Several learners also wear caps and hoodies. Whilst these are fine for outdoors they are asked to take such items off when inside the building. If purchasing items for school for August please do stick with our school colours – black, yellow, white and grey.
Sponsored walk
A huge thanks to our P7 HWB leadership group who organised the sponsored walk last Friday. It was a great success, much enjoyed by us all and raised a total of £969 for the Edinburgh Children’s hospital charity.
Sad news
It was with much sadness that we heard the news that a former Trinity teacher passed away last week. Jennifer Wilson was a much loved member of our staff team up to her retirement in 2019. Whilst many of you will not have had the pleasure of knowing Jennifer, some of our school community may have had older children who were taught by her. Our thoughts are with Jennifer’s family at this time.
The final two weeks.
