Dear Parents and Carers
I hope that your week is going well. We have had an exciting time at Trinity with our sponsored Halloween discos (fantastic costumes and enthusiastic dancing!) and our visit from Paul Sturgess. At 7 foot 7 inches, Paul currently holds the record for the tallest basketball player and tallest actor. He was SO tall! He was engaging and fun to talk with and I know for lots of our Trinity learners standing next to him was a very memorable moment! He spoke about how we are all different and how important it is to be happy in yourself – a great message delivered by a very inspirational man.
Yesterday saw us welcoming some of our P1 learners who will join us in August 2027. I was so proud of our P5 tour guides who did a great job of showing off our school. The comments from our new parents and carers praised how confident, happy and informative they were. What more could we ask?
Empowered Learning at TPS
Our information evening went well and I hope those who attended found it to be helpful and reassuring. Many thanks to Connor McKay, Chris English and Karen Walsh who presented. Whilst the overview powerpoint is attached it is not possible to share the other elements of the evening as they involved actually showing technology in action.
Book Bag / Book and a Biscuit : Tues 10th November at 9.00am
P1 – P3 parents and carers are invited to join their child’s class for the launch of the Book Bag. This bag is provided to all P1 – P3 learners across Scotland.
For those parents of P4 – P7 you are very welcome to pop in on Tuesday first thing for a ‘book and a biscuit’. This is simply a chance to sit and read alongside your child as you enjoy a coffee / tea. Please do bring along your own book.
Flu vaccination
Flu vaccinations are due to take place on Mon 9th November
Christmas jumpers / T shirts etc
As we head towards the festive season please do send in any preloved Christmas clothing for others to use. From Mon Nov 30th onwards (Christmas House Art morning) learners are welcome to wear their Christmas jumpers etc. Please note this is entirely voluntary but if having purchased something great to get a lot of use of it!
Christmas Trinity Together : Wednesday 9th December
You may have read in a previous Trinity News that, due to lack of space, parents and carers would not be able to attend our Christmas Trinity Together. Given this is always a lovely event we have rethought how we can manage this in our own school hall and have gone for a house approach.
Wed 9th December at 9.15am : Craighall and Argyll
Wed 9th December at 1.30pm : Royston and Melville
Parents and carers are now very welcome to join us at their child’s house time albeit it might be a wee bit tight for space.
Thank you for your ongoing support
Best wishes
Jacqueline Scott
